Displacement Animation
Displacement is a very powerful tool that can transform the surface geometry of objects for greater detail and realism. Adding animation to displacement can really bring projects to life!

Applications include the animation of water, blood flow in medical illustration, vehicle tyre compression, material movement for soft goods, and so much more. If you can create an animated displacement map you can use it in KeyShot to create motion.

Follow along with the video below to try it for yourself!

Pattern Tool
The KeyShot Pattern Tool is used to quickly create additional instances of your models within a scene, but is not the same as using Duplicate. Each instance can look different and even be oriented differently than the rest. Overall, with the KeyShot Pattern Tool, you will get increased speed and decreased file sizes.

Patterns will help you show a series of products with different colours and materials, quickly add variations of scattered items for more context, or create a radial or linear array of product options. If you have an application that requires uniform spacing, the Pattern Tool even provides the ability to line and space everything perfectly!
