Brush off your SketchUp skills for the chance to be featured in SketchUp’s AR Lounge at 3D Basecamp! Plus, your work will be shown across the SketchUp community and social media channels.
The new competition, called “Out of This World AR Challenge,” asks SketchUp users to create a fun AR experience for their 3D Basecamp 2024 lounge. 3D Basecamp is part of Trimble Dimensions, a three-day user conference attended by some of the biggest names in construction and visualization. So, this is a very exciting opportunity!
How to enter
1. Pick one of the three competition themes:
- Past: Travel back in time and design your own wonder of the ancient world.
- Future: Show a future world of technological possibilities, from flying cars to sustainable habitats on other planets.
- Imagination: Cast your magical spell and conjure up something impossibly impressive.
2. Download the Official Competition Template from SketchUp
3. Using the template, model your idea completely in SketchUp (no 3D Warehouse models)
In addition to modelling skills, the judges are looking to see how well your designs reflect the theme and how well you work within the confines of the template.
